✨【Tokyu Stay

</a> The other side of the dialogue came not from the World Food Prize conference, but from the street. Down the road from the Marriott, in front of the World Food Prize building, former Texas agriculture commissioner Jim Hightower held an open-air press conference to denounce Big Ag’s influence over our food and our government. The organizers called the protest Occupy the World Food Prize.

</a> First, if citizenship is granted to the children of illegal immigrants, there will be fraud out the gazoo. Illegal immigrants have been living here, using false, and stolen, documents, ever since they arrived in our country. They are masters at beating the system. </a> Even Dimon's attempts to make nice to regulators have an imperial air. He's held what the bank calls 'Town Halls', events at which regulators are given the opportunity to raise questions. While I am sure calling them Town Halls is meant to imply sunny openness and transparency, the fact is that a town hall is held by the people who run a town to give the rest a chance to have their say. Regulators shouldn't attend town halls, they should hold examinations.
</a> Though some are calling it the iPhone 6, the most commonly used name out there right now is iPhone 5S, following the naming scheme used for the iPhone 4 and the later-updated 4S. But Japanese blog Macotakara reported that a second model is coming as well: the iPhone 5C. According to PCMag, the “C” stands for “color,” allowing customers to get something other than the black and white that are currently the iPhone 5’s standard colors. But the more salient point about this model is the price: the 5C could be Apple’s attempt to finally get out of the upper end of the smartphone market. In June, Reuters said Apple was mulling a $99 iPhone that would be available in a variety of colors.

</a> My reading is slightly better than my aural, so I managed to limp to the finish line, only slightly hampered by the subtitles going out of focus whenever I got something in my eye, which happened quite a lot during the hospital scenes. As expected, The Broken Circle Breakdown was desperately sad, but brilliantly acted and beautifully filmed, with a super Belgian bluegrass soundtrack. And I did pick up some new vocabulary – "klootzak" (which means bastard) and "kutwijf" (which, according to my Van Dale dictionary, means "f****** bitch").

</a> My iPhone alarm went off at 5 a.m., waking me from a deep sleep that didn't shake off until about 50 miles down the road. I was headed to Estes Park but taking the long way around from Fort Collins, to Denver, Golden and then up Clear Creek Canyon and back north. Radio reception in the mountains is poor, and I had lots of time to think about what I was about to see. Devastating floods has washed away an untold number of homes, along with the road, in the Big Thompson Canyon.
